Notes of honeysuckle, grapefruit, and pear lead to a dry, refreshing palate.

Furmint is a white grape varietal that is most notably grown in the Tokaj region in Hungary and is the base for the world-famous Tokaji Aszu wines that King Louis XV of France called "Wine of Kings, King of Wines."

We produce this dry white wine in homage of our family's Hungarian heritage.

Antonio Galloni, Vinous - January 2020

The 2018 Furmint is bright, steely and crisp, with terrific energy driving the citrus peel, orchard fruit and floral notes. The 2018 is a bit nervous today - so I would give it a bit of time in bottle - but it is very pretty just the same.

Kapcsándy's 2017 Furmint is gorgeous. Green apple, mint, white peach and melon flavors are nicely delineated in this crisp, steely white from Kapcsándy. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown, Parker's Wine Advocate - October 2018

"The planting material for this wine was brought in from Tokaji. The 2017 Furmint gives up lovely honeysuckle, ripe peaches, poached pears and allspice with a touch of paraffin wax. Medium-bodied, refreshing and elegant, it delivers loads of spicy stone fruit and pear-laced flavors and a good long finish. This should age gracefully over the next 10 years into a delicious nutty/honeyed character."
