This well-balanced 2012 can be drunk young because of the stylistic precociousness of this vintage or cellared for two decades
"Spicy with round tannins and a lush, medium to full-bodied personality."
2012 Estate Cuvee
A rosé that could be called a light red wine...
2012 Grand Vin Rose
The 2012 Rapszodia (only the third vintage of this cuvée) is composed of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. The Kapcsandy family considers this to be their Yountville version of the famous St.-Emilion, Château Cheval Blanc.
The gorgeous bouquet is followed by a full bodied, voluptuously textured wine.
2011 Cabernet Sauvignon-Grand Vin – 96+ pts. Antonio Galloni Vinous Media "As great as the 2010 is, the 2011 isn’t too far behind (89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc) Silky, gracious tannins form the backbone in a refined, beautifully balanced Grand Vin long on class. Sweet, perfumed and utterly impeccable throughout, the 2011 is a Grand Vin simply superb. With time in the glass, the 2011 fleshes out beautifully, showing remarkable depth for the year."
"A super-impressive wine for the year. Freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet tobacco, cherries and dried plums all meld together in a silky, polished wine long on class and finesse... a fabulous value within the context of first-class Napa Valley wines."
2011 Endre
"a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Sweet tobacco, wild flowers, mint, licorice, fennel and mint all meld together in a perfumed, gracious wine graced with stunning elegance and refinement. The 2011 is less obvious than either the 2010 or 2012, but it is more fragrant and perfumed. Clean...
2011 Estate Cuvee
Sweet floral & spice notes add lift on a finish laced with sweet tobacco & crushed flowers.
2011 Grand Vin Rose
2011 Rapszodia 93 pts. - Antonio Galloni Vinous Media - November 2013 "Sweet tobacco, herbs, mint, licorice, new leather, smoke and incense are some of the many notes that flesh out in the 2011 Rapszodia (62% Cabernet Franc, 38% Merlot). The 2011 is built in pure elegance and finesse... the silky, gracious finish leaves a lasting impression."
2011 Roberta’s Reserve – 96+ pts. Antonio Galloni Vinous Media"Amazingly, the 2011 Roberta's Reserve may turn out to be better than the 2011 (96% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc) Today it is certainly much more polished, finessed and persistent than the bombastic...
"Pure silk and finesse. Sweet, refined and totally gorgeous, the 2011 impresses for its overall sense of harmony. Freshly cut flowers and red berries linger on the finish. Aging in steel keeps the flavors bright and focused. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014" Robert...
2011 Rose
The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Grand Vin is stunning. Dark black cherry, plum, smoke, licorice, menthol, tobacco and new leather wrap around the palate as this majestic, breathtaking wine shows off its personality, class and pure pedigree. Powerful yet elegant, delicate yet intense,...
2010 Cabernet Sauvignon - Grand Vin
The 2010 Endre is very Bordeaux like.  Notes of bouquet garni, red and black currants and loamy soil are present in this medium-bodied wine that seems to be a faster evolving effort than its siblings.  With excellent texture as well as an elegant style, and I use that...
2010 Endre
A model of grace and finesse, the 2010 Estate Cuvee is showing beautifully today. Grilled herbs, smoke, plum and black cherry notes all meld together in an exquisite, gracious wine loaded with finesse and elegance. Today, the 2010 is a bit reserved, but its energy and exuberance...
2010 Estate Cuvee - Cabernet Sauvignon
"The Cabernet Sauvignon-based 2010 Grand Vin Rose is naturally a more structured, powerful wine than the Roberta’s. Far from an easygoing Rose, the 2010 is going to need at least another 6-12 months in bottle. It is a powerful, imposing wine that will pair beautifully with a...
2010 Grand Vin Rose
"The 2010 Rapszodia Proprietary Blend is a new wine composed of equal parts Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Like many proprietors, Lou Kapcsandy is increasingly convinced of the potential of Cabernet Franc. Sumptuous, elegant and beautifully proportioned, the 2010 caresses the palate...
2010 Rapszodia
"Whereas the 2009 is round and seamless the 2010 Roberta’s Reserve is a huge, vertical wine endowed with stunning depth and richness. Violets, tar, graphite and sweet spices jump from the glass in this powerful, structured wine. Brisk saline notes give the finish its sense of...
2010 Roberta's Reserve
Leather, spice, tobacco, crushed flowers, mint and orange peel meld together

2009 Cabernet Sauvignon - Grand Vin
“The 2009 Endre offers up hints of sage, rosemary, wild cherries and tobacco, all supported by vibrant yet-well-integrated tannins. Deceptively medium in body, the 2009 boasts considerable structure and intensity to match its highly appealing mid-weight personality. Like many...
2009 Endre
“The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Cuvee is pure, seamless and totally beautiful. Hints of chocolate, cloves and gingerbread appear on the nose, followed by rich, deep layers of fruit. There is a baritone-like expression in the 2009 that is striking. Sweet floral notes...
2009 Estate Cuvee - Cabernet Sauvignon
Much more luxurious, voluptuous and in-your-face is the 2010 Roberta’s Reserve, which is a typical blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc with 14.5% alcohol. It boasts a saturated ruby/purple color along with lots of Asian plum sauce, white chocolate, kirsch and a subtle...

2005 Roberta’s Reserve
98 Points - Robert ParkerApril 2014  In 2005, the Kapcsandy family put the words “Grand Vin” on the label and began to produce at least three separate cuvees. This 2004 was a tiny crop for them, largely harvested August 30 to mid-September, because of the...
2004 State Lane Vineyard Proprietary Red
"This deep plum/purple-colored, fully mature 2003 offers complex notes of chocolate (100% new Taransaud barrels were used), espresso, plums and black currants. The tannins are soft and the wine is medium-bodied with a nice mid-palate (often a deficiency in vintages that have such...
